JOIN A RUN MELBOURNE TRAINING RUN:

Sessions are FREE and all runners are welcome. The Run Melbourne Training Club caters

for all types of runners, from beginners to advanced.



The Run Melbourne Training Club kicks off on Tuesday, 22 May and allows you to train with Sole Motive & lululemon

three-times-a-week over 10 weeks with experienced run leaders to make sure you’re race ready.

Tuesday & Thursday sessions – powered by Sole Motive

Bag Drop

After you sign in, you’ll receive a numbered armband – one to attach to your wrist, another to your bag to leave with the Sole Motive team.

Water

Will be available after the sessions for participants.

Neon arm-bands

Because we’re running at night, we suggest wearing a neon arm-band so we can see you better.

Waiver Form

ALL training run participants need to fill in a Health Check Waiver Form for their FIRST training run only. After completing your first session/filling in the waiver form, you will only need to sign in each week. Download yours now, or complete the form at the Training session.

Wednesday sessions – presented by lululemon

Bag drop

We suggest you carry light! However, there will be a team car to assist with storing bags and belongings.

Water

Water refill stations will be available. We advise that all runners bring their own drink bottles, rather than use plastic cups.

Neon arm band

Because we are running in the morning, we suggest wearing a neon arm band or reflective clothing.

Ryan Mannix

Training Club Ambassador

Ryan has always had a keen interest in movement. He was a professional athlete for over ten years, representing Australia in both running and duathlon. When Ryan was sidelined with an injury from a serious bike accident, he started yoga as a means of rehabilitation. What was meant to be short term, became a long loving passion for this new form of movement. Yoga became a new opportunity to move and feel connected.

Tim Crosbie

Training Club Head Coach

Tim Crosbie has been coaching runners for more than 20 years, ranging from beginner level through to elite Australian representatives. Head Coach of the Crosbie Crew, Tim has been involved with Run Melbourne for more than 10 years in a coaching capacity and also oversees the Melbourne Marathon training series. Working for Athletics Victoria as the Recreational Running Coordinator, Tim is actively involved with running groups and events across the state and is also Athletics Australia’s chief facilitator and curriculum designer for Recreational Running Coach education around Australia.

Madison Taylor

Training Club Motivator

Madi is a physiotherapist who tried almost every sport under the sun growing up, but had always had a passion for running and more recently triathlon. She’s completed numerous running events on and off road and many triathlons from sprint to Ironman distance (3.8km swim, 180km, 42km run). Her proudest achievements have been finishing the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii twice and a PB at Run Melbourne half marathon in 2016. This will be her fourth year involved with the Run Melbourne Training Club. She loves the opportunity to meet new people, help others achieve their goals and run through our beautiful city.

Phoebe Sansom

Training Club Motivator

Phoebe Sansom is a physiotherapist based in Melbourne. She fell in love with sport and fitness from an early age and dedicated much of the last 20 years to gymnastics as both a gymnast and a coach. Although she has always enjoyed running, it was her first 100km endurance event that got Phoebe hooked. Now, the longer the race the better! Some of her highlights from the last few years include completing her 4th 100km trail event, the Great Ocean Road 44km Marathon and a number of half marathon events including Run Melbourne. She finds nothing more enjoyable than sharing her passion for running and inspiring others to achieve their goals.
