Things you should know
Start area: The 5km run/walk will start at the intersection of St Kilda Road and just south of Linlithgow Avenue. Please note that the 5km Start Line will close at 11:15am.
Finish area: Is located within Birrarung Marr, adjacent to Federation Square.

Please note that field limits apply. Once a wave start is at capacity no further entries will be accepted for that wave start.
Warm-up: The 5km warm-up will be held at the main stage at Federation Square at 10:00am.
Drink Stations: There are four water stations on each loop of the course. They are approximately 2 – 3km apart. There are also water stations at the event village and the finish area.

Course Description: Ready to test yourself and see if that training has been paying off? The 5km run/walk is perfect for first-time participants wanting to get amongst the spirit of Run Melbourne. With an easy loop past the Shrine of Remembrance, around the Botanic Gardens and past Rod Laver arena, you’ll love the energy and enthusiasm you get from running with thousands of others as well as past bands, cheer squads and fan zones! Grab a friend, lace up and get going!

Presentation ceremonies: Presentation ceremonies will take place at 11:00am from the main stage at Federation Square. Medals will be awarded to the male and female winners of the 10km event.
Age category winners will receive a medal however these will be posted out after the event. The age categories are: U18, 18 – 29 years, 30 – 39 years, 40 – 49 years, 50 – 59 years, 60 – 69 years & 70+.
