FAQ’s

When do online registrations open & close?

Registrations opened on Thursday 2 November and close on the following dates for each race:

Race 1 – Online entries end midnight Tuesday 6 February 2018.

Race 2 – Online entries end midnight Tuesday 20 February 2018.

Race 3 –  Online entries end midnight Tuesday 6 March 2018.

 

I’m having trouble entering - what do I do?

Run Melbourne uses ‘Realbuzz’ registrations, which offers a high level of protection and privacy for our entrants. However, there are now certain browsers and software versions that are unsupported by the Realbuzz registration system and may cause issues when attempting to register for all events.

Please note the following to ensure that these issues do not occur when you are registering.

Unsupported Internet Browsers include- ‘Internet Explorer 8’ and below. Please note: Internet Explorer 9 will soon no longer be supported by our registration system.

Supported Internet Browsers include- ‘Mozilla Firefox’, ‘Google Chrome’, ‘Safari’ If you do not have any of the supported internet browsers, just click on the links below to download or type any respective browser name into Google and download one; each browser is fast to download and free. Alternatively, any smart phone or tablet will have supported software. As a result, Run Melbourne can ensure that our users have a hassle-free experience when registering for events.

I accidentally entered the wrong details on my registration

If you need to change your registration details (name, distance or postage) this will incur a $10 administration fee. 

If you need to update your email address  you can do so via the “Members Hub”. Please log back into your registration, select your event and click “View Details”.

I have lost or never received my confirmation email, can I have it resent?

Please ensure you have checked your junk/spam folder for your confirmation email (e-ticket). If you can still not locate it, please email info@solemotive.com and request to have your confirmation email resent

What are my options if I’ve entered, and can no longer participate?

You don’t have to notify Sole Motive, the organiser if you are unable to run for any reason.

However, there are no refunds for non-starters or non-finishers. We do offer the following:

  1. A credit note for another Sole Motive event, or
  2. You can downgrade your distance.

Withdraw from the event – receive a credit note:

We do offer a *credit note, or you can downgrade your distance or transfer your registration over to another participant – these offers all incur a $10 admin fee. Note: these offers are available until 5pm one week prior to the event. After this point, credit notes will not be issued, but if you wish to change your distance or transfer your registration within the week of the event, you can still do by emailing info@solemotive.com

Credit notes are valid for 1 year from the date of issuing and valid for Sole Motive owned events and cannot be used for contracted events. Refunds will not be issued.

*Credit notes for full series (all three races) entrants will only be issued if Sole Motive contacted is before 5pm on Wednesday January 31.

Downgrade from your race:

Event downgrades can be made by emailing Sole Motive – info@solemotive.com or phone (03) 9285 0600. Please note: Any changes to your registration (name, distance, postage) will incur a $10 administration fee.

Can my friend take my entry if I can no longer compete?

There is a $10 admin fee to transfer your entry into someone else’s name.

How can I downgrade / upgrade my race?

Event upgrades and downgrades can be made online up until Friday 19th January. After that date, any event changes must be made on the event evening.  Please email Sole Motive info@solemotive.com or phone (03) 9285 0600. Please note: Any changes to your registration (name, distance, postage) will incur a $10 administration fee.

I’ve already registered but I want to join a team.

If you wish to join a team, you can do so via the ‘My Events Portal’. Please log back into your registration and select to ‘Join a Team.’

 

I have a toddler do they have to pay?

Children under four years of age are not required to pay the entry fee, however for safety and insurance reasons we do still require an entry form to be completed. Please email info@solemotive.com

Are the courses Wheelchair friendly?

Yes, however, we request that all race wheelchair athletes enter the week before the date of the event. This is to ensure that event organisers can safely accommodate all wheelchair athletes on the course. Also if you are a race wheelchair athlete please indicate this in the entry process. Terms & Conditions

Brooks T-Shirt/Singlet:

The first 1500 3-Pass Series entrants will receive a FREE Brooks T-shirt OR Singlet. T-shirts and Singlets are subject to availability (size/style) and given on first-in-first served policy.
Participants cannot exchange gift for cash or for any other item. Eligible participants will receive a tear-off strip on their race bib and can collect their free top from the Sole Motive marquee at Race 1.

$50 Brooks Shoe Voucher:

All Sunset Series Event entrants receive a $50 off Sole Motive footwear voucher off all Brooks shoes via their confirmation email. Please present proof of your entry (confirmation email) at Sole Motive, 170 Queen St to redeem. Voucher must be redeemed by Saturday 31 March 2018.
